Microbial Ecology Engineer
Alice is an engineer in molecular microbial ecology and bioprocess. During her five-year degree in biotechnology and industrial pharmaceutical bioprocess at the University of Tours, Alice did a first internship at Toulouse Biotechnology Institute in a team specialized in the culture of microorganism and the understanding of process-environment-microorganism interactions and a second internship at GSK Belgium in an innovation team, to improve and modernize the producing process of a vaccine against Hepatitis B. Alice currently works at INRAE Micalis Institute in Jouy-en-Josas, where she takes part in a European project called DOMINO related to the role of the diversity of fermented food microbiota for healthy and sustainable food systems.

6th scientific meeting of ANR metasimfood project in Strasbourg

On Tuesday 7th of January, the 7 partners gathered for the second time in Illkirch (close to Strasbourg) and were hosted by Aérial. The meeting was focused on the main advances carried out on the fermented vegetables food model with exiting results confirming the hypothesis postulated earlier in the project. Also, the evening before the meeting, Aérial organized a specific visit of the largest Sauerkraut producer in France, at a small village 30 km south of Strasbourg.
